YEARLY CO
What started as an anniversary bangle tradition in founder Ann William’s family has grown into celebrating the special events in your life with meaningful jewelry. Yearly Co.’s pieces are handmade in Nashville, Tennessee, meant to be the perfect gift, year after year, celebrating marriage, milestones and more.
Starting with their original bangle Ann has built an incredible brand with huge loyalty spanning generations. We were called in to help Yearly Co.’s growing creative and marketing team on how the brand should look, feel and sound online and offline.
DBS met with the team on a initial deep dive strategy call and from there, Alex let her creative mind take flight and presented a 50 page brand style guide to the team. Included was everything from how their logo should look, what color combinations to use, what the brand’s voice is, what social media graphics should look like, email marketing templates, imagery guidelines, and much more.
CASE STUDY FOCUS
PAST BRAND ITERATIONS, REORGANIZED
Yearly Co. had gone through a few different branding identities over the past 7+ years, with some slight name changes and as the brand evolved, it was overwhelming to the team what brand guide to follow. That was our first mission, to isolate who Yearly Co. is now, what is the mission, key selling points, positioning, strategic advantage, and then discover their digital style.
THINK OF ME AS AN EXTENSION OF YOUR TEAM
I worked alongside not only founder Ann, but her trustworthy team of marketers and designers who would ultimately be working directly from the guide I would make. It was critical for me to hear directly from them what their set backs and confusions were in regards to the brand’s style so we could clearly articulate and solve for this problem.
NOT JUST ONLINE, ALSO IN PERSON
In the style guide, we thought of not only how the brand presents itself online, but also in-person through the Yearly Co. storefront in Nashville and on the road at events. I mocked up what print outs and signage should look like and any tangible paper good a customer would come in contact with.
TEACHING THE TEAM
Always my favorite part at DBS, teaching! After the style guide was complete I held a Zoom where we went through each page, answered questions, taught brand strategy, and ensured every team member was set up for success after I handed over the final file. I always want you to think of me as an extension of your team, think of me as your coach and team player.
“WE CAME TO ALEX TO CREATE A COHESIVE BRAND GUIDE THAT BROUGHT TOGETHER ALL OF OUR BRAND’S ITERATIONS INTO ONE PLACE. OUR EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH HER WAS FANTASTIC. MY TEAM REALLY ENJOYED ALL OF OUR CALLS AND THE FINAL RESULTS ARE STUNNING AND PRACTICAL!”
ANN WILLIAMS, FOUNDER OF YEARLY CO.

GET STYLED
STYLE THAT CONNECTS
Just like your interior design style or your personal wardrobe, style is all about how you present yourself to the world and how they perceive you. It’s personal, it’s beautiful, it should be uniquely reflective of you or the customer you serve.
