MERIDIAN
Meridian opened its doors in 1993 and has grown to become a landmark in downtown Bozeman, MT as well as one of the oldest longstanding businesses on Main Street. Considered a heritage brand, the store has received praise and credit since the beginning for being a unique shopping experience, unlike other specialty stores. Meridian carries a unique brand assortment and presents a curated store aesthetic that keeps customers coming back for life.
Switching hands in ownership in 2018, husband and wife duo Haley and Josh, took over the brand and updated it’s in-store aesthetic as well as opened an adjacent men’s boutique.
We had the joy of working alongside these two to help them style their social media presence — a channel that had changed creative hands overtime and no longer felt aligned with the brand as a whole.
CASE STUDY FOCUS
SIGNATURE QUESTIONNAIRE & GROUNDWORK
To being any project we always start with our signature brand styling questionnaire — a series of thoughtful questions for us to get inside your brain and business. From here, we kickoff with a 1:1 consulting call to walk through these questions and probe further — this is the groundwork that we work from for the brand’s style strategy and visuals.
BRAND STYLING WORK & DECK
From the discovery stage, we move into the styling & strategy stage. Meridian had an existing brand suite which we distilled into our brand styling deck and added 2 new accent colors for digital use. From there, we dove deep into how the brand should present itself across it’s digital channels. We covered customer profiles, brand positioning, how to curate the Instagram feed, and how to edit photos to make them feel on-brand.
ON-GOING MONTHLY STYLING SUPPORT
After the presentation of the brand style deck, we rolled our scope into on-going monthly styling support. Alex consults the Meridian team on week-to-week styling and overall visuals of their instagram grid. Working closely with Haley, the owner & buyer of the boutique, Alex sources on-brand content based on current inventory, new brands, and customer demand.
THE RESULTS
One of Meridian’s goals as an end result was for their Instagram feed to become representative of what their store looks and feels like in-person. As a result, they now have a beautifully styled feed that is aligned with their curated, yet approachable identity.
To do so, we cleaned up the Instagram grid of posts from the past that no longer fit the brand’s aesthetic, we update reel covers, changed highlights, and started to style out future posts. We created an internal “creative sandbox” drive that houses sourced on-brand imagery from each of their brands they carry in-store, making it easy for team members to pluck from for future use.

DID THIS PROJECT SPEAK TO YOU?
Just like your interior design style or your personal wardrobe, style is all about how you present yourself to the world and how they perceive you. It’s personal, it’s beautiful, it should be uniquely reflective of you or the customer you serve.
